Youngtimer (15–30 years)
The 1990s and 2000s collector market — fairly valued.
BMW E36/E39, Mercedes W124 and W202, Porsche 996/Boxster, Audi B5 RS, Honda NSX. We treat them as what they are — emerging classics with their own price dynamic, not used cars with a Schwacke baseline.

Why youngtimers are tricky
Standardised pricing tools systematically underprice rare configurations — an M3 CSL is not the same as a 2003 M3 Coupé. Originality and service condition matter more than on younger used cars: complete service history, factory paint and unmodified mechanics can double the value, while tuning or missing paperwork drops it by a third. We combine database values with current auction results and collector market references.
Typical use cases
- Private sale: a defensible price anchor.
- Insurance: switch to a classic-tariff with market-value cover.
- Inheritance / divorce: court-recognised valuation.
- Replacement value after total loss: the basis for a fair payout.
